02 Oct 2013 Summer Student Research Program
The 2013 Summer Student Research Program culminated with a dinner program at the University Club of Pasadena on Wednesday, August 14th. Over 100 guests gathered to watch the students from this year’s program offer presentations on their 10-week experience in HMRI’s labs.
For the past 58 years, HMRI has been opening its labs to college and graduate students who want to further their scientific knowledge. It is an extraordinary opportunity to work alongside world class scientists. At the conclusion of the program, the students present the results of their research projects before an invited VIP audience of HMRI donors and supporters, and community leaders.
This year’s dinner included remarks by distinguished alumni of the program – noted cardiologist Gregory M. Giesler, M.D., and Dr. Daniel Margolis, whose specialty is diagnostic radiology.
