The Analytical Biochemistry Lab (ABC) is an HMRI shared resource that supports investigators with sophisticated methodologies and detection systems for the identification, characterization, and quantification of compounds and their interactions. The ABC Lab is a well-equipped, comprehensive testing facility that features state-of-the-art instrumentation, including electrochemiluminescence platforms (MSD), chromatography systems, spectrophotometry analyzers, and sample preparation equipment to perform diverse techniques in biological and synthetic matrices. The Analytical Biochemistry Core provides collaborative services such as method development, optimization, and validation, in addition to complete testing services. Project management consultation is available to ensure objectives are met from experimental planning through implementation.
The Analytical Biochemistry Lab operates on a charge back mechanism. All pricing is generated based on the cost of materials, labor, instrument time, and HMRI facilities/administration (F&A). Cost may vary based on the number of samples to be analyzed, as batching requirements impact personnel and instrument time. Method development and project management pricing is determined by the cost of labor and materials to support the defined scope of study. A final quote will be provided after the submission of an ABC request.
