Remembering Dr. Alfred Fonteh, PhD

An informal gathering of family, friends, and colleagues
When: Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 3 to 4 PM
Where: Engemann Family Auditorium | 686 S. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105
Who Should Attend: Friends and colleagues of Dr. Alfred Fonteh
Dear friends of HMRI,
I want to extend a personal invitation to an informal gathering. As we shared previously, we were surprised and heartbroken to learn of Dr. Alfred Fonteh's recent passing, and we wanted to hold space for those who knew him to share memories and reflect together.
The gathering will take place Tuesday, July 7, at 3 PM in the Engemann Family Auditorium. Dr. Julia Bradsher looks forward to welcoming friends and community members. Attendees who wish to share a memory will be invited to do so from the lectern.
For those who cannot join us in person, a Zoom option will be available to listen in.
I'm also happy to help share video memories for anyone who would prefer that option. I know speaking in public can be difficult, especially in moments like this. You can email or text me a short video, and we'll make sure it is played during the gathering. You can contact me to share a tribute.
On behalf of everyone here at HMRI, we are grateful for the time we shared with Alfred and look forward to celebrating our work together.
With gratitude,
Paul Roach
Vice President of Development and External Affairs
